Our History

Founded in 1989, Boise Pride Festival is set to celebrate its 37th Anniversary this year.

Exceptional support from our community has made the festival a stand-out LGBTQ+ celebration. We strive to promote unity and celebrate the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities, engaging the Boise community year-round.

We look forward to continuing on the tradition of Boise Pride, growing festival attendance, and our community impact in even more remarkable ways in 2026 and beyond.

Our Mission

Boise Pride Festival's mission is to promote diversity, inclusion, and equal rights for Idaho's LGBTQ+ community through education, advocacy, community engagement, and the celebration of Pride. We strive to create safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces that foster visibility, connection, and belonging while building stronger relationships among LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, businesses, nonprofits, and the broader community.

Boise Pride hosts Idaho’s largest Pride event of the year, paving the way for community involvement & ally support.
